3/5/2009

I am currently sitting in the kitchen being forced to listen to Doug's brainless and bizarre wandering tunes about "cuddly boobies" that just go on and on and on and on and are so fucking annoying. It's a relief when he goes outside and I can't hear him anymore.

Yesterday was a not so good food day for me. I got hungry in the afternoon and hit the peanuts pretty hard. I also went out to eat and had Hot and Sour Soup, though at least it was at Lilac Blossom, where the serving is small and not that thick with corn starch. I find myself wondering if I had an appetite increase from all the activity the day before.

I also went to bed too late, which means I'm somewhat tired today and disinclined to exercise this morning. I will have to do something this afternoon. I think I'll try to leave work around 4 pm and do documents on the treadmill. That will mean that all my other pieces of work, including actual paper, will need to be cleared before I leave.

Food: 2 eggs fried in butter; large salad with lettuce, pine nuts, chicken, feta cheese and bacon dressing; 2-2.5 ounces spicy peanuts; small cup hot and sour soup; 1/2 serving moo shi shrimp spicy.

Drink: 1 silk road tea with the usual (though it was made with too cool water and was less appealing initially than usual); organic peach tea plain; water; 1 club soda with lime; 1 hot water with lemon; 1 apple cinnamon herbal tea, plain.

Exercise: none

So, got to go get ready for work. I started reading about decreasing carbon imprint on the earth. Hmm. I think I can turn off computers, use less of the kitchen lights, go outside a bit more for my light, try walking outside instead of on the treadmill, and not run the heat fan in the bathroom and take more of a sponge bath when I'm in there. Also, run the hot water less. I am already washing my hair less, which probably compensates for using the blowdryer and hot brush. I also continue to try to drive more efficiently. I am approaching 30 mpg in Eric's car, even with bad weather, and with more familiarity with it, hope to routinely get above 30.
