Missed a bunch of days again. Sigh. I also missed Eric's birthday, which is an even bigger sigh. I had some real problems Thursday and Friday with afternoon hunger. I'm not sure the peanuts are a good idea. I also think that having padang sauce triggered a hunger surge, probably through the old insulin response. That disturbs be some.
On a good note, pants are still loose on me, so I don't think the weight has gone up a lot just yet. I am hoping to start putting more fruit and veggies and some very low carb grain products into what I'm doing. I'm just afraid that when I add the grains, there will be more hunger and more gas, too. If I eat raw grains, there will definitely be gas.
I am still working the raw veggie angle. I found some excellent snow peas in the grocery store, which made a very nice lunch today, along with some fried cheese. Which reminds me: should start looking for fresh salsa to have with the fried cheese. Kind of like pizza covering flavor or something like that.
Yesterday's food: 1 egg fried in butter; 2 ounces ricotta with 1/2 cup blackberries; 1-2 cups shredded brocco-slaw with padang sauce; baked salmon with basil butter; 1 small Atkin's bar (this is where it went bad); 1-2 ounces peanuts (at least now they're gone); Shorty's Ceasar Salad with blackened chicken and pine nuts.
Today's food so far: 2 eggs scrambled with crimini mushrooms, sliced chicken and light shredded Mexican blend cheese; 1-2 cups raw snow peas; 3 slices fried queso blanco.
We are planning to go to Giorgio's for supper with Mary Varney tonight at 6:30pm. I think I'll look up the menu online and contemplate choices ahead of time.
I looked. I'm thinking warm maine crab and artichoke dip, and zuppe di pesce look pretty damn good. Hmm. Need to see how it goes. Post more later.
